Welcome to the Modesto Radio Museum. Modesto’s first radio station was KTRB, and its first day on the air was June 18, 1933. KTRB didn’t play records; they brought in live bands!

Radio has come a long way, and so has this Museum, now with over a 1000 pages of recordings, photos, stories, even videos! You could be here a while.

We are interactive. For example, museum member, Gary Avey, one-time KFIV Disc Jockey, is a national authority on microphones. Even technicians from microphone manufacturers have come here for advice! Go ahead and try to stump him! Just click on The Microphone Man.

Now, about the Museum’s Gold….
Museums are all about old stuff, but we have something new! Graffiti Gold is our gift to the universe (we like thinking big). Graffiti Gold streams Oldies, yours to enjoy twenty-four/seven!

You’ll love Graffiti Gold; it’s designed to be habit forming.
Our website never closes; we’re On The Air all the time.
